DUCTAC is a non-profit organisation and that relies solely on support from the public and local businesses to continue in its mission of making the arts inclusive, accessible and enjoyable for the whole community in Dubai, regardless of age, nationality and income.

We also strive to help lay the foundations for the cultural growth of Dubai in the future through education and outreach, to encourage the children and young adults of Dubai to cultivate their own artistic talent and to gain an appreciation on the arts in all their forms. ILLUMINATED SOUND PICTURES

In this project, Martin Avsenik combines images, sound and architecture to explore a correlation between the material and spiritual world and their relationship with the different layers of the human consciousness.

Avsenik’s work takes the form of light objects as well as projection screens, creating what he calls “the projection room of our consciousness, thoughts, experiences and emotions” with images depicting “psychic landscapes”. While using modern technology to present these landscapes, Avsenik’s artworks also represent a link with tradition, in particular painting as the images are artistically derived from the tradition and techniques of painting.
